Introduction:

Good day to everyone. Welcome to my portfolio. I have prepared this simple portfolio so that you may know something about me.
My autobiography would give you some idea about m personal information and then you may also know the important people around me that make my life complete. Without them, my life would be meaningless.

My Autobiography:

My name is Elvis Pascua Briones Jr.. I was born at A. Rodriguez Hospital at Marikina City, Metro Manila. I am the youngest among the four children of Mr. Elvis C. Briones Sr. and Mrs. Sunnny P. Briones. I have a brother namely Ralph P. Briones, and two sisters which are Liezl P. Briones and Sunshine P. Briones. We live at Salinap San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

I first went to school when I was 6 years old. I took kindergarten up to grade 6 at Mangahan Elementary School, a public school at Pasig City, Metro Manila. And then I enter at High School at Salinap National High School. Now I am studying at Philippine College of Science and Technology taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. I am a third year student and probably I’m going to finish my studies by the year of 2012. I hope by that time, I could immediately find a job to help my parents.

Hobbies and Interests:

I am much a kind of a loner person. I have friends but sometimes I just wanted to be alone. When I am alone, I usually watch tv, listening on radio, riding on my bicycle or sleeping. I know how to play guitar but I am not good in singing. I can dance and I also make drawings.

Winners of Christmasterpiece 2006

Fourty-three (43) Cities and Municipalities all over the country participated. They built their own Christmasterpieces inspired by their respective culture and tradition. Used indigenous materials and adorned with hundreds and thousands of Lady’s Choice Mayo bottles as Christmas lights. Many have been called, but in the end, only three emerged as winners (compared to 2005 where there were “several” bronze and silver winners).

Laoag City is Third Place
The “Christmas Wonderland” theme of Laoag City captured the third place:

For the second place, it went to San Jacinto, Pangasinan’s “Christ-mais(corn) Tree” with thousands of bottle bulbs painted with yellow which look like corn kernels:

For the grand prize, it went to Morong, Rizal’s “Dambanang Kawayan” which is a scale-down replica of the town’s Church in bamboo and used bottle bulbs as balusters and tips of bamboo filials:

San Jacinto, Pangasinan Philippines

The town of San Jacinto was founded in the year 1601, marked by the event of laying a cornerstone of the Catholic Church and the convent by the Spanish Priest Fr. Herminigildo Melgar. With the completion of the church and convent the town began to exist as a separate municipality from Mangaldan as it was then a part of said town before 1601.

The first Capitan of the municipality was Don Diego Agbunag and the last Capitan Municipal was Don Bernardo Lopez, who held the position from 1894-1895 the year when the Spanish rule came to an end.

On January 23, 1870, the Alcalde Mayor of the Province of Pangasinan, came to San Jacinto and proceeded to Claris to inaugurate the newly created town of Pozorrubio, formerly a barrio belonging to San Jacinto. In the year 1892, the strongest earthquake occurred in San Jacinto destroying the church, the convent, the tower and the municipal building as well. This catastrophe happened during the reign of Don Jose Sanchez as Capitan Mayor.
